Book Club

Hello!

I've officially selected the books we will read for the remainder of the year. I'm excited that so many of you are wanting to participate! The books I've chosen are all Newbery Award Winners and are all age appropriate. I do recommend parents reading along with their students, that way you know what they're reading and you can enjoy the stories together!

Our goal is to take the month to read each book and then come together at the end of the month and talk about the story. I'll email everyone when it comes close to the end of the month about where we can meet, discussion expectations and times that will work best.

Let's have fun this coming year reading great books!

Google Virtual Field Trips

Hello!

On November 5, 2013, Google announced "Connected Classrooms" for schools around the world to participate in Virtual Field Trips using Google Hangouts.

My Tech High, our partner program, has just been accepted into the community and we are excited to invite all of our students to explore the calendar of past and future Virtual Field Trips. Explore and attend live field virtual field trips from places around the world (and even space!), or watch them later! I can't get over how cool this is!!!
